Episode 62 – The One Where We Lost Ground Control…

In This Week’s Show, episode 62, we’ll talk to Ziggy Stardust for a first-person account of god’s wrath.

Now, grab a beer and help us test the god hypothesis — because, while Jareth the Goblin King hasn’t struck us down yet, we are trying his patience!

Shea’s Life Lesson

This week I learned that friends are like cows, if you eat them, they will die…

Jenn’s Actual Lesson

Did you know that David Bowie struggled with his identity in religion throughout his life? A quote: “I was young, fancy-free, and Tibetan Buddhism appealed to me at that time. I thought, ‘There’s salvation.’ It didn’t really work. Then I went through Nietzsche, Satanism, Christianity… pottery, and ended up singing. It’s been a long road.”

In This Week’s Show, episode 62, we’ll talk to Ziggy Stardust for a first-person account of god’s wrath.

But before we get to all that, let’s have a beer!

This Week’s Beer

Moonlight Drive from Southbound Brewing from Savannah, GA

  • BA Link: [http://bit.ly/1PO8yDj
  • BA Rating: N/A
  • Style: American Imperial Coffee Stout
  • ABV: 8.5%
  • Aaron: 4
  • Jenn: 5
  • Shea: 7
  • Steve: 7

From Scott:

This small brewery is less than three years old but they make superb beer. I got a little repetitive by offering y’all another coffee stout, but “Moonlight Drive” is really excellent. It is heavy on the coffee (also a local brand from Savannah’s Perk Coffee Roasters) but really drinkable. The mouthfeel is lighter than you’d imagine and the finish is really smooth. It’s another face-in-the-carpet beer at 8.5%ABV.

Fantastic – 5 stars

My boyfriend showed me this podcast which we both enjoy. I usually get bored with just chats, but yours is one I’ve been trying to get my friends to listen to as well. Hope this one keeps going.

David Bowie RIP Quote in 2003: “I’m not quite an atheist and it worries me. There’s that little bit that holds on: Well, I’m almost an atheist. Give me a couple of months.”

New studio kit – thanks to the patrons for helping us out on this one, hopefully the audio is much improved.
